Thanks for the Stuffing

As Thanksgiving begins in America I have seen a wide range of stuffing recipes crop up online. Some sound absolutely delicious like Italian Sausage stuffing or stuffing wrapped in bacon (I have had that and it’s a great take on stuffing). I also saw a Red Jello stuffing which sounds intriguing, and I have a feeling might actually work.

But this all made me realise how much I love stuffing! As we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK. Christmas is where the stuffing comes out big time. There is just so much you can do with it and it can easily become the standout feature on the plate.

And it’s one or my favourite parts of the meal it’s sitting on. You can buy stuffing mixes that will taste fine but I prefer to do homemade where possible so you can flavour it and make it exactly the way you like. I like many styles of stuffing but even the classic Sage and Onion is a real winner.

I am also one of those people who will happily have stuffing throughout the year for a standard roast. its just a top accomplice to any roasted dinner. And it can be made meaty, vegan or vegetarian.

So here is to the humble stuffing! Below, it would be great if anyone has any stuffing recipes to share, I’d love to try them!
