First up I love the above song. I only discovered it a couple of years back-I was more of a late comer when it came to discovering the brilliance of Michael McDonald and of course the almighty Aretha Franklin. This is one of my all time favorite duets, with two of my all time favorite artists giving a great performance.
The song itself is great, too. I don’t know about anyone else, but this song, every time I listen to it, always conjures up a sort of nostalgia-finding it hard to describe-but definitely also a timeless quality. Like its transporting me back to something or someplace, but I’m not sure what or where. Maybe it’s the stories I have created within myself. Either way it’s a nice place.
